I have always been fascinated by computer graphics, in all its aspects – including 3D. Unfortunately, decent 3D software was always way too expensive for a hobbyist like me, or too complicated and inconvenient (did someone say POV-Ray?)
And then there’s Blender.
I recently received a book for review. It’s called “Learning Blender” by Oliver Villar. No, this is not the review – just the beginning of a post series that will accompany my progress (hopefully 🙂 ) through this interesting hand-on guide.
I don’t plan on becoming a 3D-animation superstar or anything; it’ll probably serve me for designing objects (one day, when they’re cheap and reliable enough, I’ll get a 3D printer), for informative illustrations and for plain fun.
And… well, that’s it for now. I’m going to dive in. Wish me luck!
